College students were absolutely the staunch force in the ranks of the volunteers during the Olympics. They were seen bustling about everywhere, at the airport, sports grounds, media centers, and city volunteer stations. Being responsible, highly proficient and hard working, they are fine examples of college students in present-day China. They gained friendship, skills and enlightenment in return for their dedicated service. What they learned during this short span has definitely left an indelible mark on their life experiences.
Short as their Olympic volunteer service was, it has left enough experience for the college students, who are always sensitive to nascent things. Thanks to this experience, they become keener for understanding and support while working hard and being strict with themselves. They have begun to be concerned about putting the Olympics venues to reasonable use after the games were over. They are expecting comments on their work from the spectators, athletes and media, evaluating to see if their participation in volunteer service has met their goals, and looking forward to more opportunities in the future.
